toms time on thursdays
where to begin, where to begin? no seriously, i dont know.
i suppose i should talk about my week in a logical order, but i dont work logically, so that can be chucked out the window.
lets start with the weather, its been gorgeous, but i hate staying out for too long, i just overheat, and yes, i appreciate its only april and im moaning, tough.
i have my plans for the summer, or at least the start of it, ben & jerry sundae on the common, if the line ups good im there, if not, i will still be there, just in the ice cream queue instead lol.
the first of two bank holidays is almost upon us, brilliant aye? my weekends going like this, house party, st georges day event somewhere in dagenham, doctor who, recover lol.
i might as well ask, according to the traffic breakdown you get with blogspot, two visits to my humble little site have been from singapore. whether someone over there is reading this or theyre going through a proxy server i dunno, but i would like to, so get in touch, the comment box is at the bottom, just down there look VVVVVVV
seriously, if any of my readers out there like these posts, feel free to post it on facebook or twitter or myspace if you still use it, get it out there.
i suppose i might as well round this off by saying that im currently trying to write a song, and it is so frustrating, because i can hear it in my head, but i cant get it out on keyboard, so im getting angry with myself, and depressed too, which isnt good, but heyho, life can be a bitch cant it?
thats pretty much all ive got to write for now, so this is it from me until sunday, oh, and if you wanna see jimmy carr as a drag queen, watch 10 o clock live on channel 4 tonight, hes dressing up again lol

summing up sundays (yes im back on track)
this week has seen many different news stories.
the big news is that nato have admitted they need more planes to enforce the no fly zone, with america, uk and france have called for gaddafi to leave, and also for a new resolution, but cameron has said there will be no ground invasion. i have to wonder, does he know the meaning of the word no? after all he said there would be no NHS reforms, and now look whats happening with that. moving back to lybia gaddafi has been accused of using cluster bombs, which everyone is saying is illegal, but when countries like america havent signed up to the convention banning them, theres not a whole lot that can be said really.
a number of records have been set this week in the london marathon, with 28 world records being confirmed.
the m1 has been shut for days due to a fire, with the highways agency saying it wont reopen until monday at the earliest. sucks if you wanna travel north doesnt it?
man city have beat man utd to go through to the FA cup final, their first in 30 years, to be honest though, who cares? i dont mean to knock football, but its all a bit stupid now, whatever happens the players are being paid stupid amounts to run around for 90 min kicking a ball around, and when weve got people starving on the streets how can anyone justify it?
an error has revealed military secrets, all it needs was a cut and paste, any student using wikipedia to finish work knows how to do that.
a tornado has torn through southern america, killing over 30 people and leading several states to declare a state of emergency, this will be worth watching, to see how responses have changed.
finally, japan, its going to take 6-9 months to stabalise those pesky nuclear reactors, which are being leaked more by the after shocks. now, either godzilla will actually be spawned, or the iphone 5 will be delayed. with a reboot of godzilla planned for next year, that could become a documentary, unlikely though.

toms time on thursday (yup, still running late)
well this week has been interesting, wednesday, i passed my theory, so i was very happy, thursday, well i was in a car crash, and bloody hell, airbags are loud. and saturday im hoping to go see a new band, but its in bromley, so im gonna need an early start. however thats all thats really happened in my week, being the easter holidays ive done pretty much fuck all.
oh, there was the live gig i went to on sunday, it was really good, met some bands, and got a signed album, and a picture with one of my favourate artists, which made me very happy.
do i have anything else to say? no not really, apart from hopefully i will be back on track by sunday, i seem to have less time than ever this week, how the fuck thats possible i dunno, but it is.

im gonna keep the music theme from last week with a simple question, what do you think is the best way to experience live music?

Summing up Sundays (albeit on monday, sorry)
firstly, sorry, i was away over the weekend so didnt get a chance to write this, secondly, no vlog this week, i need new video editing software, so watch this space for when it will be starting.
so this week, the shit is still hitting the fan in lybia, but we are getting oil out again, and apparently the african union is brokering a peace deal, what is gonna happen? who the hell knows anymore, personally, i think youd have more luck betting on roulete and winning, or scratchcards.
a sailor shot two of his colleauges on a submarine earlier in the week, thats brilliant aint it, these are the people and boats that carry our nuclear weapons, and someone was shot and killed on there, if terrorists ever wanted a way to cause chaos, thats it.
theres been even more violence in london, with another teenager killed last night, you have to ask yourself, what the fuck is going on, i mean, is society colapsing, are video games to blame? no, of course not, theres no one cause, everything needs to be tackled, we are in such a fragmented society now, everyone is afraid of everyone else, too scared to do or say anything, and that needs to change, we need intervention and we need investment, but under a tory government you are more likely to see pigs flying, or hell freeze over, or some other absurdity.
has there been more in the news this week? well of course there has been, but its all to do with the sun, which has gone, and the news of the world, which is worth mentioning i suppose, theyre apology, not the paper itself, thats just lying filth.
theres been all the other filler over the week, the royal wedding, marathon, just a load of crap they talk about to fill the time, im not gonna repeat it, cos really, whats the point?

toms time on thursday
firstly, an apology, sorry i havent got my vlog up yet, big technical difficulties, hopefully sunday will get a new one up, possibly.
so, my week, well ive been doing mocks, but it didnt go quite to plan, as my sixth form seems to have lost me for a few hours, my life basically turned into a carry on film.
second, biology revision is so boring, i got thru half a litre of energy drink in half an hour.
i am actually so tired reading this right now, and quite warm too.
my life seems pretty boring when i try writing about my week, the only interesting thing thats going to happen is a pretty decent gig im going to on sunday, until then its just a load of boring shit, if i manage to wake up tommorow that is.

talkbox tuesdays
this week lets talk about music, specifically cover versions of songs. on thing that really annoys me is artists whos entire career is based on cover versions of popular songs, but i shant mention names here. whats your opinion though? does an artist deserve to be called that if they only do covers? can you think of any cover versions of songs that are better than the originals? are there any covers out there that dont deserve to be called music? whatever your opinion is leave a comment, and if you can find a link to the cover or original song you mention post it too, your opinion matters here.
